Where did April go? I’m so confused! I’ve have been unbelievable busy this past month and finally feel like things are beginning to calm down. The 1st of April I moved! All the way from Burbank to… Burbank! I whopping 1.5 miles from my last place. I have 2 new roommates Niki and Karin (and their kitties) and we are renting a 3 bed/2 bath house. Complete with a 2 car garage, front and back yards AND a covered patio. I’m very excited about it. Stay tuned for housewarming party details!
) If you would like my new address drop me a message or email and I’ll send it to you!
Mid April I ended up at the downtown LA courthouse. I had jury duty. Good times. I’ve been called to Jury duty 5 times. 4 of those times I’ve been selected as one of the lucky 12. They really seem to like me. I usually don’t mind doing my “civic duty” however I am currently working nights as an Assist Online Editor. So for 6 days I was getting up around 6:30 a.m., going to the courthouse, sit all day there, get home at 5:30 p.m. grab my laptop and head for work. Work until about midnight. And repeat the next day. It was tough. But I survived so it’s all good.
Now that jury duty is over I’m trying to get back into a decent schedule of sleeping, hanging out with friends and running. I have my first 5k run this weekend. I’m looking forward to running a race shorter than 13 miles.
) I also have to finally finish unpacking and organize stuff. I think my roommate and I will be hitting up Ikea and Target this week to buy shelves and shelves and more shelves. Fun and exciting times. As always I hope all is well with everyone and please feel free to leave a message!

On Saturday, May 9th, I will be participating in the 16th Annual Revlon Run/Walk For Women. You can join me in the fight against women’s cancers by making a donation on my behalf. Your donation will help fund important research into the cause and cure of women’s cancers, prevention, education and support service programs. Every donation will help bring us one step closer to a cure. Until a cure is found and we know that all women are safe, we must continue the fight. Any amount that you can give will go a long way. Thanks!

What can I say? I’ve been busy. Or lazy. Or both… So what have I been up to? Let’s see…
I took the most part of last year off. Just relaxing and hanging out with friends before I made my way back to Minnesota for Christmas in December. I was home for about a week and a half and had a great time. I was unable to see everyone I wanted to due to bad weather, but that’s what you get when you live/visit someplace where it snows! It’s always nice to get back and visit the family for the holidays. Hopefully my next trip I’ll be able to see more people.
When I got back to LA, I started back up working at Fox’s reality show, “Hell’s Kitchen”. This is my 6th season with the show as a Switcher. I am responisble for directing the 80 robotic cameras that we have on the show. 60 hour work weeks, but I can’t complain too much. After we wrap in mid-march, I’ll be heading over to post production on the same show to assist the online editor. I’ll be employed until sometime in August! That’s a LONG time for us freelancing folks.
Somehow in my 1 day off a week I’ve managed to play paintball twice (which resulted in some very nice bruises!), go to Disneyland twice, AND go to the dentist twice! A girl can only be so lucky! Oh yeah! And I also found a new place to live! My roommate of 5 years is kicking me out! It’s a very peaceful separation though.
) After weeks of searching we (My friends Karin and Niki) found an awesome place to rent a mere 1.5 miles from where I live now. I apparently fear change. It’s a very large 3 bedroom/2 bath and we move in April 1st. I have pictures posted here. Now I just have to start packing and throwing away all the crap I have accumulated over the last 5 years. Yikes!
Until then I will be staying very busy. Next weekend I am off to Disneyland again! I apparently can’t get enough of that place. My new roommate Karin got us the hook up at Club 33! For those of you who are not familiar with Club 33, it is a five star restaurant in Disneyland with a limited membership of 487 and is not open to the public. Read all about it here. I’ve heard the rumors for years and now I’ll be able to check it out for myself!
Shortly after that my roommate Kirsten and I are competing in The Great Urban Race. It’s a wacky city wide scavenger hunt in Los Angeles. It seems like it’s going to be really fun. Our team name is Hasenpfeffer Incorporated and we are dressing up as Laverne and Shirley. Why? Because there is a costume contest and because we think it’s funny. We are trying to talk a couple of other friends to join us as Lenny and Squiggy. I hope they go for it.
Lastly I am running the 16th Annual Revlon 5k for Women on May 9th. I am raising money to help fund important research into the cause and cure of women’s cancers, prevention, education and support service programs. I know times are pretty tight for a lot of people right now, but if you can, please donate to the cause here EIF Revlon 5k. Whatever amount you can give would be greatly appreciated!
I hope you all are doing well and I promise to update more than once every 3 or 4 months. Ok… I’ll TRY to update more often. As always, feel free to leave me a message! I thoroughly enjoy them!!
P.S. It was sunny and 83 degrees today. BEAUTIFUL!! How is it where you are?
